Job summary

University of Central Missouri (UCM) seeks a lead technician for the Elliott Student Union (ESU) and Union Bowling Center (UBC) to manage daily work orders and oversee a broad range of maintenance tasks. The role covers carpentry, painting, minor repairs, and bowling equipment upkeep, ensuring USBC and NCAA standards are met.

Training student staff and enforcing safety protocols are key duties. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with essential personnel status for emergencies and security

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of mechanical experience required.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and painting preferred.
• Knowledge of bowling equipment/machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technician for ESU and UBC, managing daily work orders.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across carpentry, painting, and minor repairs.
• Ensure bowling equipment meets USBC and NCAA standards; coordinate safety inspections.
• Train student employees on machine safety and basic repairs.
• Maintain logs of parts, repairs, and costs.
