Job summary

University of Central Missouri is seeking a Lead Technician for the Elliott Student Union (ESU) and Union Bowling Center (UBC). You will lead, coordinate, and perform daily work orders, preventive maintenance, and system repairs across multiple facilities to ensure safety and operational readiness.

The role requires one year of mechanical experience, knowledge of HVAC, electrical, carpentry and painting, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year mechanical experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, carpentry and painting preferred.
• Knowledge of bowling equipment/machines preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead technician for Elliott Student Union (ESU) and Union Bowling Center (UBC) maintenance and work-order management.
• Perform general building maintenance across skilled trades and ensure safety inspections are conducted.
• Oversee, coordinate, and execute daily work orders per Facilities Planning & Operations standards.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance and major rebuilds on bowling equipment and lane systems.
• Ensure lanes and scoring systems meet USBC and NCAA standards for compliance.
• Train student employees on machine safety and basic repairs.
• Maintain logs for parts inventory, repairs, and equipment performance.
