Job summary

CRC Group is seeking a Team Underwriter to evaluate, select, and manage underwriting risks within established guidelines and authority. You will underwrite new and renewal business, mentor junior underwriters, and ensure consistent execution across teams.

Responsibilities include coordinating workflow, monitoring portfolio performance, and collaborating with producers and internal teams to drive timely and accurate decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant insurance designation preferred
• Experience in underwriting, including multi-line or specialty products
• Ability to manage complex accounts and contribute to underwriting performance
• Experience mentoring within a team environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business, evaluating risk and terms within delegated authority
• Manage underwriting workflow through full lifecycle: submissions, binding, servicing, documentation
• Monitor production metrics to support portfolio quality and predictability
• Review and resolve underwriting issues, including inspections and coverage adjustments
• Collaborate with producers, agents, and internal teams to ensure timely execution of decisions
• Provide leadership and coordination across underwriting teams
• Mentor and support development of less experienced underwriters
