Job summary

CRC Group is seeking an experienced underwriter to evaluate risk and determine terms for new and renewal business. The role drives underwriting workflow, collaborates with producers and internal teams, and supports portfolio quality through leadership and mentorship across teams.

The position requires strong analytical skills, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage complex accounts while aligning with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant insurance designation required.
• Experience in underwriting, including multi-line or specialty products.
• Ability to manage complex accounts and improve underwriting performance.
• Experience mentoring within a team environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business, evaluating risk and determining terms within authority.
• Manage underwriting workflow from submissions to documentation.
• Monitor production metrics to support portfolio quality and predictability.
• Resolve underwriting issues including inspections and coverage adjustments.
• Collaborate with producers, agents, and internal teams for timely decisions and execution.
• Provide leadership and coordination across underwriting teams.
• Mentor and support less experienced underwriters through guidance.
