Job summary

CRC Group seeks a Team Underwriter to evaluate, select, and manage underwriting risks while guiding a team to meet portfolio objectives. The role underwrites new and renewal business and collaborates with producers and internal teams to ensure timely, compliant decisions.

You will mentor junior underwriters, manage workflow across a full lifecycle, and contribute to portfolio performance within established guidelines. Strong communication and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or insurance designation preferred.
• Experience in underwriting, including multi-line or specialty products.
• Ability to manage complex accounts and contribute to performance outcomes.
• Experience mentoring within a team environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business within delegated authority.
• Manage underwriting workflow through the full lifecycle with documentation.
• Monitor production metrics to support portfolio quality and predictability.
• Review and resolve underwriting issues to maintain risk accuracy.
• Collaborate with producers, agents, and internal teams for timely decisions.
• Provide leadership and coordination across underwriting teams.
• Mentor and support development of less experienced underwriters.
