Job summary

Walbec Group is seeking an experienced Laborer to lead an underground utility crew. You will coordinate labor tasks, support pipe layers, operators, and the foreman, and help keep jobsite safety and workflow organized.

The role requires 3–5 years road construction laborer experience, ability to lift 75 pounds, and flexibility for varied hours including nights and weekends. CDL is strongly desired, and union membership is optional.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Class A CDL strongly desired.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 3-5 years road construction laborer experience.
• Minimum 6 months experience assembling and installing sanitary sewer pipe and manholes, water main and storm sewer pipe.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
• Able to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends.
• Member of a Local Laborer Union or willingness to become one.

Responsibilities

• Lead laborer on an underground utility crew, coordinating labor tasks and assisting foreman.
• Support pipe layers, operators, and foreman to maintain safety and workflow.
• Direct other laborers and ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
