Job summary

Blacksands Development Group is seeking a Foreman for underground utilities and site development in Daytona Beach, FL. The role focuses on guiding field crews, interpreting plans, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring on-time delivery of quality work in accordance with Florida 811 and local codes.

The Foreman will manage materials, supervise heavy equipment, maintain logs, and coordinate with project management to keep timelines.

Qualifications

• Underground utility construction experience of 3–5 years.
• At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or Leadman role.
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans and specs.
• Valid driver's license; OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor a team to ensure safety and productivity on site.
• Accurately interpret civil plans and site specs for utility installations.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards during all operations.
• Manage materials, tools, and equipment to support daily field work.
• Perform on-site quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain daily logs and report progress or delays to supervision.
• Operate and supervise heavy equipment while ensuring safety compliance.
