Job summary

McLain Site Solutions, a Florida-based heavy civil contractor, seeks an experienced Pipe Crew Foreman to supervise underground utility crews on active projects in Jacksonville. You will oversee installation of fire protection water mains, potable water distribution, gravity sewer, storm drainage, and related appurtenances while ensuring safety and adherence to plans.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years foreman/lead experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with pipe lasers and layout tools.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years underground utility experience including foreman/lead.
• Experience installing PVC, HDPE, DIP, RCP, fittings, valves, hydrants and manholes.
• Ability to read blueprints, profiles and construction plans.
• Experience using pipe lasers, transit/laser levels, grade rods and layout tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cost-control skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise underground utility crews on active projects.
• Plan daily work activities to meet production goals and schedules.
• Read utility plans, profiles, cut sheets and specs.
• Ensure proper line, grade, elevations and pipe alignment.
• Verify trench safety, backfill, testing and inspections.
• Coordinate materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Monitor production and control costs; complete daily reports.
