Job summary

The TST TACTICAL DEFENSE SOLUTIONS, INC. DBA TIDEWATER DEVELOPMENT SERVICES CORPORATION (TDSC) is seeking a Civil Utility Foreman for an on-site role in Virginia Beach/hampton Roads.

Initially, 2–3 months in Richmond with hotel accommodations and per diem provided; thereafter, duties span the Hampton Roads area. You will lead crews, ensure safety, interpret plans, and coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; construction management training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of verifiable utility construction supervisory experience.
• Deep knowledge of underground utilities and construction means/methods.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and reading blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret project documents and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily utility installation and maintenance crews.
• Plan and schedule tasks to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion.
• Interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications for construction activities.
• Ensure safety compliance and enforce company policies on site.
• Maintain daily logs and communicate with project managers and inspectors.
• Open and secure the jobsite at day start and end.
• Coordinate with clients, inspectors, and subcontractors to resolve issues.
• Travel to Hampton Roads jobsites; initial Richmond assignment anticipated.
