Job summary

The Ohio State University seeks an Undergraduate Engagement Librarian to lead student-focused learning experiences for first- and second-year undergraduates. You will supervise 1–3 staff, collaborate across campus, and develop programs that foster information literacy and lifelong learning.

You will teach courses and sessions, engage with campus units, and shape strategies for integrating information literacy into general education while supporting student success and academic growth.

Qualifications

• ALA-accredited master’s degree or comparable graduate degree.
• Four years’ experience providing instruction, mentoring, and/or programming for early career undergraduates.
• Familiarity with information literacy concepts and frameworks.
• Demonstrated outreach and development of programming with key stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and multiple stakeholder groups.
• Commitment to librarianship, scholarship and service.

Responsibilities

• Lead liaison to campus units such as First Year Experience and STEP.
• Maintain and improve programs/resources for first- and second-year undergrads.
• Teach credit courses and co-curricular sessions offered by T&L.
• Develop strategy to integrate information literacy into general education.
• Provide expertise on student learning and success in higher education.
• Supervise up to 3 staff within the department.
• Participate in library/university committees and professional development.
