Job summary

HOLT CAT in Irving, Texas seeks an experienced Undercarriage Field Technician 3 to service the north Texas region. The role requires diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment undercarriage at customer sites or in the shop, with own tools and a valid CDL Class B.

DOT physical clearance is required and CAT ET/SIS knowledge is preferred. Expect to lead teams on large projects, document service activities, and ensure safety and quality while meeting customer needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in heavy construction equipment repair preferred.
• Undercarriage repair experience preferred.
• Caterpillar certifications preferred.
• Must have CDL Class B.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
• Must own a large and complete assortment of tools and specialized tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs extensive repairs on equipment undercarriage in field or shop.
• Disassembles, inspects, and rebuilds undercarriage components.
• Maintains safety policies and adheres to company procedures.
• Prepares service reports and paperwork.
• Provides leadership and mentorship to other technicians.
