Job summary

HOLT CAT, the largest Caterpillar dealer in the United States, is looking for an experienced Field Service Technician for the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas Region. The role involves conducting field service repairs on heavy construction equipment, including troubleshooting emissions and hydraulics.

The ideal candidate will work Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5 pm, with overtime as needed. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient with CAT ET and CAT SIS 2.0.
• More than four years of heavy equipment experience required; six or more years preferred.
• Certification to operate crane and forklift.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair construction equipment using electronic and manual diagnostics.
• Perform intermediate repairs and troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision.
• Document all work orders accurately and maintain clear customer records.

Skills

Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for heavy construction equipment

Proficient in troubleshooting Tier 4 emission systems

Strong customer service skills

Effective verbal and written communication

Manual dexterity for assembling small components

Education

More than four years of heavy equipment experience

MSHA certification preferred

Air conditioning certification preferred
