Job summary

ARSIEM Corporation in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks an experienced UI Front End Software Engineer to lead a team of UI developers and define front-end architecture, while remaining hands-on across the full software lifecycle in an agile environment.

The ideal candidate has strong front-end experience, translates UX/UI designs into accessible interfaces, and mentors junior developers as part of a cross-functional team including system engineers and product stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading or mentoring a development team.
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end frameworks and standard web technologies.
• Full-stack experience including backend development and API design.
• Experience with state management, component-based architecture, and responsive design.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GovCloud).
• Experience collaborating with UX/UI and systems engineers to implement accessible interfaces.
• Experience in Linux/Ubuntu environment is a plus.
• Twelve years as a SWE in programs/contracts of similar scope is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of UI/front-end developers, guiding standards and code reviews.
• Architect and implement scalable front-end solutions using modern frameworks.
• Translate UX/UI designs into accessible, production-ready interfaces.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs and ensure data flow.
• Contribute to full-stack development and deployment pipelines.
• Participate in sprint planning and architectural decision-making.
• Ensure accessibility compliance (Section 508, WCAG) throughout development.
