Job summary

J T is seeking a senior UI Front-End / Front-End Software Engineer (Level 3) in Annapolis Junction, MD to lead front-end architecture and standards while mentoring a team of developers in an Agile setting.

You will translate designs into accessible interfaces, integrate with backend services via RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and drive quality and accessibility (WCAG/Section 508) across the full software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus at least 12 years of software engineering experience, or 16 years without a degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Minimum of 7 years in software database and repository interface development.
• Practical full‑stack experience with back‑end technologies and API design.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams, code reviews, and software quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor front‑end engineering teams, providing technical direction and code reviews.
• Translate design specifications into accessible, standards‑compliant user interfaces (Section 508, WCAG).
• Collaborate with back‑end engineers to design and integrate RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Contribute to full‑stack engineering efforts, including back‑end microservices and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Design, optimize, and execute complex database/repository interfaces and queries.
• Confer with systems engineers and stakeholders to derive software requirements and resolve challenges.
• Author and review system documentation, test plans, and engineering standards.
