Job summary

EWI Recruitment is seeking an experienced Tunneling Project Manager to lead complex underground construction projects from pre-construction to completion in the United States. You will direct scope, programme, budget, quality, safety and environmental performance while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulators.

Qualifications

Significant experience managing tunneling or major underground infrastructure projects.
Degree (or equivalent) in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
Strong knowledge of tunneling techniques, geotechnical principles, contracts, and health and safety legislation.
Proven leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding construction environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed project plans and programmes.
Manage procurement, subcontractors, and budget control.
Monitor progress, control costs, and identify risks.
Oversee tunneling works, ground conditions, ventilation, dewatering, lining and support systems.
Lead progress meetings and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
