Job summary

Lewis Tree Service in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced Top Trimmer to join our outdoor-focused team. You will perform advanced tree trimming and removal, lead job-site setup, and support crew safety and productivity near energized lines.

Candidates bring at least two years of tree crew experience, knowledge of ANSI NIOS and A300 standards, and a CDL. We offer ESOP, paid training, health benefits, and strong promotion opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience on tree crews and completion of Top Trimmer-level qualifications.
• Knowledge of tree identification, growth habits, and proper pruning techniques.
• Familiarity with ANSI Z133 Safety Requirements and A300 Pruning Standards.
• Advanced in tree ascent/descent using ropes and safety saddle; skilled in aerial lift operations.
• Proficiency in electrical circuit basics and interpreting circuit maps.
• Top Trimmer Certification or ability to complete.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced tree trimming and removal work aloft or with aerial lift equipment.
• Lead job site setup, maintenance, and traffic control; supervise ground crews.
• Direct tree felling, rigging, and clearance near energized lines; remove vegetation/debris.
• Oversee ground-level pruning and removal; support Crew Leader in absence.
• Apply herbicides per laws and company guidelines.
• Inspect and operate tools and heavy equipment; ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Drive and maintain trucks and other work vehicles; ensure team safety.
