Job summary

Lewis Tree Service seeks a skilled Top Trimmer to perform advanced tree trimming and removal for utility vegetation management. You’ll operate from elevated platforms or with aerial lift gear, lead job-site setup, and supervise crew activities to ensure safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include rigging, removal near energized lines, herbicide applications, and mentoring teammates while maintaining OSHA/ANSI standards. Opportunity for growth and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience on tree crews and completion of Top Trimmer-level qualifications.
• Knowledge of tree identification, growth habits and pruning techniques.
• Familiarity with ANSI Z133 safety requirements and A300 pruning standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced tree trimming and removal work while aloft or on aerial lift equipment.
• Lead job site setup, maintenance, and traffic control.
• Lead tree felling, rigging, and clearance near energized lines; prune and remove trees at ground level.
• Direct crews in the absence of the Crew Leader and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Apply herbicides per laws and company guidelines; inspect and operate tools and equipment.
