Job summary

Lewis Tree Services is hiring a Trimmer to perform advanced tree trimming and removal, both aloft and with aerial lift equipment. You will lead site setup, traffic control, and crew activities while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires climbing and rigging skills, operating chainsaws and heavy equipment, and guiding crews in absence of the Crew Leader. A CDL, CPR/First Aid, and certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience on tree crews and Top Trimmer qualifications.
• Knowledge of tree identification, growth habits and pruning techniques.
• Familiar with ANSI Z133 Safety Requirements and A300 Pruning Standards.
• Advanced in rope ascents/descent and aerial lift operations.
• Electrical circuit basics and circuit map interpretation.
• Top Trimmer certification (or able to complete).
• Valid driver’s license, CDL and medical certification.
• CPR and First Aid certified (provided by Lewis).
• Ability to lead others and work independently.
• Compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced tree trimming and removal work aloft or with aerial lift.
• Support and lead job site setup, maintenance, and traffic control.
• Lead tree felling, rigging, and clearance near energized lines.
• Support and direct ground-level pruning and removal.
• Assist Crew Leader in absence of the Crew Leader.
• Apply herbicides per laws and company guidelines.
• Inspect, maintain, prepare and operate tools and heavy equipment.
• Operate and maintain trucks and other work vehicles.
• Ensure team and public safety through hazard identification and communication.
• Train crew on climbing, trimming and safety practices.
• Assist with job briefings and equipment specifications.
• Participate in emergency response and storm work as needed.
