The position emphasizes mentoring younger engineers, maintaining client relationships, and shaping the future of the transportation practice.

The role requires a Civil Engineering background, a NY PE license (preferred), and 8+ years of transportation engineering experience, with strong MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• New York Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or willing to obtain shortly after joining.
• Eight or more years of transportation engineering experience.
• Strong experience delivering NYSDOT and Federal Aid transportation projects.
• Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead project teams while building productive client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Managing highway and transportation projects from planning through construction support
• Leading roadway design using NYSDOT standards and Federal Aid requirements
• Preparing design reports, construction plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Providing technical leadership and quality oversight throughout project delivery
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and agency partners
• Mentoring engineers and helping develop the next generation of transportation professionals
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, practical infrastructure solutions
