Job summary

Stantec's Colorado Transportation team is seeking a Project Engineer to lead roadway projects, prepare and seal designs, and drive civil infrastructure delivery across Colorado.

The role provides direct supervision, supports business development, and adapts to a hybrid in-office/field schedule based on project needs. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality roadway solutions.

Qualifications

• Lead engineering teams on roadway projects and seal designs.
• Provide supervision to meet schedules and resolve issues.
• Manage scope and integration of subconsultants and employees.
• Support business development and proposal delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review and sealing of roadway projects.
• Serve as technical resource on transportation projects.
• Liaise with clients, agencies, and others to determine requirements.
• Assist in preparation of proposals, reports, and design elements.
• Create detailed 3D roadway corridor models using AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation OpenRoads Designer.
• Use InfraWorks, LumenRT, Concept Station, or Beyond Typicals for design visualization.
• Develop feasible design alternatives considering site conditions, ROW, utilities, safety, environment, community input, and cost.
• Produce detailed final design plans, specs, and estimates.
• Peer review plans and provide QA/QC of specs and documents.
• Develop and/or manage highway projects for CDOT or local agencies.
