Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our North Region team in the United States. You will perform Traffic Revenue and Demand Modeling for toll agencies and may lead projects, applying travel demand analysis and data-driven methods to support planning studies.

The role emphasizes advanced data analysis, project management, and mentoring junior staff, with travel up to 10% and a hybrid work environment across North Region offices. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning or related discipline.
• AICP, PTP, PE, CEP or approved certification in a related field.
• Or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning or related discipline.
• 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 9 years with Master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform Traffic Revenue and Demand Modeling for toll agencies throughout the North Region, including potentially serving as Project Technical Leader.
• Execute Advanced Data Analysis: analyze large data sets in support of Traffic and Revenue studies and Demand Management studies.
• Perform overall task management and QA/QC procedures.
• Coordinate and manage the technical content of projects, mentor staff, and ensure technical accuracy.
