Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Hydraulics Engineer in Jacksonville,FL. You will lead a multidisciplinary hydraulic and water resources design team, directing design and delivery for projects ranging from small improvements to large multi-phase programs.

Key responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, and ensuring quality through technical reviews, while collaborating with clients and internal teams to meet schedules and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Master's degree in water resources or related discipline.
Experience leading multidisciplinary hydraulic and water resources teams.
Advanced knowledge of stormwater engineering concepts and H&H modeling programs.
Ability to work in the office to allow for collaboration.

Responsibilities

Assist in strategic planning and oversight of technical project delivery with a focus on profitability.
Provide staff mentorship and ensure high-quality work through reviews.
Lead a senior technical role within a multidisciplinary hydraulic and water resources design team.
Oversee infrastructure projects from small to large, multi-phase programs.
Lead project design, budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination to meet goals and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to QA/QC processes and represent HDR in professional forums.
