Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Senior Manager to lead its Transportation team in Lexington, KY or Louisville, KY. You will build and grow a local engineering team, directing complex transportation design projects and providing technical leadership across design stages.

You will mentor staff, manage client relationships, and drive business development while ensuring quality control and adherence to company policies. This role requires a Kentucky PE and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years in transportation engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional Engineer license in Kentucky.
• Hands-on experience with OpenRoads Designer.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Ability to implement WSP's Quality Control Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and design teams in transportation projects.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Build and mentor local engineering team in Kentucky.
• Provide technical expertise across design stages (preliminary to contract docs).
• Ensure cost estimates and specifications meet project needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff across drainage, structures, etc.
