Job summary

STV, Inc. seeks an Engineering Director in Louisville or Owensboro, KY to lead Transportation & Infrastructure projects, mentor staff, and grow the Kentucky practice for statewide client service.

The role collaborates with staff and agencies, delivering multi-discipline projects with strong technical standards. The successful candidate has 15+ years in transportation, a Kentucky PE, and proven business development capability, with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Planning (Master's Degree a plus).
• Minimum 15 years of Transportation and Infrastructure experience.
• Kentucky Professional Engineer (PE).
• Direct experience delivering transportation projects.
• Experience with transportation agencies (federal, state, local).
• Strong leadership for multi-discipline teams and project management.

Responsibilities

• Practice building, mentorship and skill development of professional staff.
• Lead business development and proposal efforts for Transportation and Infrastructure projects.
• Management of multi-discipline technical teams to deliver projects to clients.
• Negotiating and establishing project budgets, staffing, and productivity.
• Coordinate with other directors/leaders to ensure technical standards on projects.
• Performs and manages diverse and complex discipline work tasks requiring planning, communication and management.
• Develop and nurture key client relationships for future work opportunities.
• Focus on client development and industry participation with leadership teams.
• Assist with public involvement efforts and presentations.
