Job summary

STV is seeking an Engineering Director in Kentucky (Louisville or Owensboro) to lead our Transportation & Infrastructure practice. You will mentor staff, guide project delivery, and help grow the state-wide portfolio by engaging with agencies and clients.

The role requires a seasoned leader with 15+ years in transportation, PE license in Kentucky, and a track record of cross-discipline project success. Strong communication and business development skills are essential for success in this

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Planning; Master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of Transportation and Infrastructure experience.
• Kentucky Professional Engineer (PE).
• Direct experience delivering transportation projects.
• Direct experience leading multi-discipline projects with complex teams.
• Experience with transportation agencies (federal, state, local).
• Business development and operations management experience.
• Experience with Owensboro area agencies and KYTC.
• Strong client relationships and market knowledge in Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Lead practice building, mentorship and staff development.
• Oversee business development and proposals for Transportation & Infrastructure projects.
• Manage multi-discipline technical teams to deliver projects to clients.
• Negotiate budgets, staffing and productivity to deliver services.
• Coordinate with other directors to maintain technical standards.
• Plan and manage diverse, complex tasks with strong communication.
• Develop and nurture key client relationships for future opportunities.
• Focus on client development, business development, and industry participation.
