Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead detailed roadway design projects in Texas, delivering safe, resilient and connected infrastructure.

You'll supervise engineers and technicians, manage client relations, and coordinate with subconsultants while ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery across urban and rural projects in Austin, Round Rock and San Antonio. HDR values employee-owners and inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of roadway design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license required.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills.
• Experience with urban/rural interchanges, interchanges, traffic management.
• Experience with CAD base alignment plans (MicroStation/OpenRoads).
• Coordinate survey, grading, drainage and utilities.
• Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture.

• Lead detailed development of urban and rural roadway design projects.
• Perform quality assurance on major transportation projects.
• Serve as technical expert in an area of specialization.
• Assume project management duties and client interaction.
