Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Highway/Roads Engineer to lead detailed urban roadway design projects and guide major transportation initiatives. You will perform quality assurance checks, serve as a technical expert, and interact with clients as needed to ensure project success.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 10 years in roadway engineering, a PE license, and proficiency with MicroStation, InRoads, and Microsoft Office. Leadership and collaboration are essential in our employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years experience in roadway engineering design.
• PE license required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration.
• Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, traffic management, CAD base alignment plans.
• Coordination of survey, grading, drainage and utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical role in the detailed development of urban roadway design projects.
• Perform quality assurance checks on major transportation projects on interstate and state highway systems.
• Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization.
• Assume some project management duties and interact with clients as needed.
• Supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
