Job summary

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is seeking a Transportation Engineering Technologist III to oversee major construction, maintenance, and roadway lighting projects from its Louisville location. You will apply technical engineering skills on roadway initiatives and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or equivalent in engineering technology and four years of engineering experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or related field.
• Four years of engineering-related experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Use technical expertise on roadway projects.
• Monitor projects to ensure crew coordination is followed and safe practices observed.
• Quality assurance of projects to ensure compliance with Cabinet and Federal Laws.
• Organize and conduct meetings with contractors and cabinet officials.
• Maintain, prepare, and review engineering documents.
