Job summary

PACE Southeast Michigan is seeking a Lead Transportation Driver to support transportation services for program participants. You will plan and manage scheduling with the Transportation Coordinator and act as backup in their absence, while ensuring safe vehicle operation and timely participant transport.

The role requires experience in transportation management, strong communication, and a valid CDL Class B with Passenger endorsement.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Extremely organized and detail oriented.
• Three years’ work experience in related field and/or supervision/management of five or more staff.
• Valid Michigan CDL license Class B with Passenger endorsement and driving record acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage transportation scheduling for program participants with other team members.
• Serve as backup Transportation Coordinator in absence of the Coordinator.
• Communicate participant tolerance and concerns regarding vehicles.
• Assist with reporting customer feedback using IPF forms.
• Monitor and follow up on customer complaints.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance/safety logs and documentation.
