Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector to join our Construction team across multiple Michigan offices, including Flint. The role requires a high school diploma and at least five years of MDOT or MDOT Local Agency Program inspection experience, plus knowledge of FieldManager/Book, HMA and concrete work, and a valid driver’s license.

Preferred certifications include SESC/Storm Water Operator and concrete/density testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related inspection experience.
• HMA and concrete experience required.
• Strong understanding of MDOT-let contract requirements.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• SESC/Storm Water Operator, Concrete and Density testing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections to verify contract requirements on roadways and bridges.
• Lead and manage multiple inspectors on projects.
• Prepare and review inspection reports in FieldManager/Book and AASHTOWare.
• Maintain documentation in FieldManager, AASHTOWare and Bluebeam.
• Act as on-site liaison with client and community.
• Coordinate with project team on plans and specs.
• Assist Project Manager with contract requirements and paperwork.
