Job summary

Wade Trim is hiring a Transportation Construction Inspector to join our Detroit area team, with offices in Taylor, Detroit, Ann Arbor or Flint. A high school diploma and 5+ years of MDOT inspection experience are required, along with FieldManager/Book and MDOT contract knowledge.

SESC/Storm Water and related testing certifications are preferred. The role involves field inspections, leading inspectors, documenting work in FieldManager/AASHTOWare/Bluebeam, and maintaining strong client relations

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
Minimum five years of MDOT or Local Agency Program inspection experience.
Experience with FieldManager/Book and MDOT let contract requirements.

Responsibilities

Conduct field inspections to verify contract requirements for road and bridge work.
Lead and manage multiple inspectors on one or more projects.
Prepare and review daily reports in FieldManager/Book and AASHTOWare.
Organize documentation in FieldManager, AASHTOWare, and Bluebeam.
Act as on-site liaison with client and community.
Interact with contractors and understand plans and specs.
Assist Project Manager with contract requirements.
Prepare forms and paperwork promptly.
Attend seminars and training courses.
Maintain client relations and safe work environment.
