Job summary

Wade Trim in Michigan is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector to join our construction team in Taylor, Detroit, Ann Arbor or Flint. The role requires a high school diploma and at least five years of MDOT/Local Agency inspection experience using FieldManager/Book, with knowledge of HMA and concrete projects.

You will serve as on-site liaison to clients and contractors, review daily reports, organize documentation, and support project managers with contract requirements while upholding

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of five years related MDOT/Local Agency inspection experience.
• Strong understanding of MDOT-let contract requirements.
• Valid driver’s license required; SESC/Storm Water Operator, Concrete and Density testing certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections to verify contract requirements on roadways and bridges.
• Lead and manage multiple inspectors on one or more projects.
• Prepare and review Inspector's Daily Reports in FieldManager/Book and AASHTOWare.
• Organize and maintain construction documentation in FieldManager, AASHTOWare, and Bluebeam.
• Act as on-site liaison with client and community; communicate with contractors.
• Assist Project Manager with contract requirements and paperwork.
