Job summary

Fuss & O'Neill is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer - Project Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of complex roadway projects in Massachusetts. This hybrid role combines technical expertise with project leadership to guide multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction for safer, more efficient transportation systems.

The role requires PE licensure, 10+ years in transportation engineering, and strong leadership with client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring staff.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience with DOT projects and standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage transportation design projects for municipal and state clients.
• Oversee all phases from planning through construction.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Coordinate staff and workload planning; support business development.
• Serve as primary client contact for DOT agencies and stakeholders.
