Arizona Public Service (APS) seeks a Senior Engineer in Transmission Strategy and Development to evaluate the transmission system and develop new projects for resource delivery. You will lead multiple projects, coordinate with third-party consultants, and stay at the forefront of industry practices.

The role requires a BS in engineering (ABET-accredited) and strong knowledge of PSLF, TARA, and related tools.

Formación

Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
Experience with long-range transmission project planning and interconnection analysis.
Strong knowledge of power flow and stability studies (PSLF, TARA).
Familiarity with NERC Standards (MOD, TPL, CIP, FAC, PRC).
Ability to coordinate with third-party consultants and internal teams.

Responsabilidades

Develop long-term transmission projects to enable resource delivery.
Lead technical studies and coordinate with external consultants.
Advise interconnection impacts for new resources.
Perform simulations (PSLF, TARA, PowerWorld, PSSE) for system expansion.
Interface with utilities and regional committees.
Provide technical guidance to engineers and ensure project scope and schedules.
