Job summary

AEP Service Corporation in Roanoke, Virginia seeks a Station Engineer within the Transmission System Operations Engineering organization to ensure NERC compliance and safe, reliable grid operation.

You will support field commissioning and verification of planned and unplanned work, review outages and drawings, perform root cause analysis, and lead engineering activities with cross‑functional teams to improve processes and facility ratings.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering program required or equivalent.
• Passing FE exam encouraged for future PE licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with ABET alignment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for commissioning and verification of field work.
• Review outages for configuration changes and ensure alignment with records.
• Perform root cause analysis on discrepancies to improve processes.
• Lead, guide and coordinate work activities within the team.
