Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee multi-disciplinary transmission and distribution projects. The role will coordinate with multiple internal and external departments to manage the full project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in electric utilities, 7+ years in transmission project management, strong leadership and client liaison experience, and excellent communication in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program or a management/business degree.
• 10+ years in electric utility industry.
• 7+ years in Project Management of Utility Transmission projects.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience as firm/client liaison.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Execute project execution, contract administration, planning and resource management.
• Own all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience.
• Direct project team; mentor and coach team members.
• Maintain positive client relationships with stakeholders.
• Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Support KPI reporting for schedule and budget.
• Identify and control construction risk.
• Track and control change.
• Communicate with stakeholders and supervisors.
• Prepare concise reports meeting client requirements.
• Analyze issues and provide solutions.
