Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Delaware is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee multiple transmission and distribution projects, coordinating with internal and external teams across the full lifecycle.

The role requires 10+ years in the electric utility sector and 7+ years in project management for transmission projects, plus strong leadership and client liaison skills. Hybrid work with three days in the office is offered, and relocation support is available based on location.

Qualifications

• BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program or a management/business degree.
• 10 or more years of experience in the electric utility industry (engineering, construction, planning, etc.).
• 7 or more years of experience specifically in Project Management of Utility Transmission projects.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage project execution, contract administration, planning and resource management.
• Own all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule and budget.
• Direct the project team; mentor and coach members.
• Maintain positive relationships with client leads and stakeholders.
• Lead efforts to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Support KPI reporting for schedule, budget and dashboards.
• Identify and control construction risk.
• Track and manage change.
• Communicate with stakeholders and supervisors.
• Prepare concise project reports meeting client requirements.
• Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.
