Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking an entry-level Project Manager Assistant to support transmission and substation project activities in the service territory. You will help monitor scope, cost and schedule while coordinating with contractors, engineers, and suppliers.

The role requires a BS in a related field or substantial experience in project management/transmission, along with strong communication and analytical skills. Travel to project sites is anticipated as part of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in monitoring and controlling projects to meet scope, cost and schedule.
• Coordinate work related to transmission line, substation, communication and security projects.
• Review and develop project documents such as bids, requisitions, BOMs and work requests.
• Monitor budgets, report cost variances, and assist in forecasting.
• Coordinate change management for scope, schedule and costs as directed.
• Support close-out activities and lessons-learned meetings with project team.
