Job summary

Burns & McDonnell's 1898 & Co. transmission planning team seeks a Transmission Planning Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary projects from business development through execution.

You will guide scope, budgets, schedules, and client relationships while mentoring junior staff. You'll perform advanced power-system analyses using PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSCAD, ETAP, Promod, and oversee delivery across Houston, Austin, and Dallas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, computer science or related field from an accredited program.
• 5+ years of related professional experience in power systems or grid planning.
• Strong skills in project management, budgeting, scheduling and client communication.
• Experience leading consulting engagements in power systems, distribution planning or grid modernization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of transmission planning projects from business development through execution.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams, scope and fee structures, deliverables, and client relationships.
• Mentor junior staff and promote technical excellence within the team.
• Lead risk assessment, project controls, and communications with stakeholders and executives.
• Apply regulatory standards and coordinate with clients on objectives and contracts.
