Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer in Fort Worth to lead design teams on electric utility projects for cooperatives and public utilities. You will guide junior engineers, develop scopes, budgets, and schedules, and ensure client satisfaction while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with internal teams to align project goals with regulatory requirements and client expectations, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of post-education engineering experience delivering power design.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• Experience managing small to mid-size projects.
• Experience with substation/transmission design for electric cooperatives.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and the NESC.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission design projects for electric cooperatives and other clients.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Chair client meetings and coordinate across teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and expand transmission design capabilities.
• Ensure alignment with client requirements and company policies.
• Uphold safety and code of conduct.
• Travel as needed.
