Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority is seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineer to lead major transmission projects and provide technical direction to external consultants. You will coordinate with internal teams to keep projects on schedule from scoping through closeout.

You will review PLS-CADD models, structure calculations, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with codes and standards while mentoring junior engineers and refining engineering practices across projects.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.
• Eight or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience.
• Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission line projects from scoping through closeout.
• Provide technical direction to external engineering consultants to meet project requirements and standards.
• Review PLS-CADD models, structure calculations, drawings, specifications, and IFC design prints.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to identify constraints and keep projects moving forward.
• Support construction by responding to RFIs and evaluating field conditions.
