Job summary
Pepco is seeking an experienced transmission engineering professional to lead complex projects, mentor junior staff, and support asset strategies for transmission infrastructure. You will work with AMEs to prioritize maintenance, analyze asset health, and influence risk-informed decisions.
The role requires strong problem-solving, electrical/engineering knowledge, and collaboration with field teams to improve reliability and performance. Extended hours may be required during storms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
- Knowledge of complex field test equipment.
- Experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes and practices for the discipline.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex engineering projects or multiple smaller projects with proactive guidance.
- Evaluate and implement projects with significant financial and operational impact.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship within the team.
- Lead design and maintenance reviews and coordinate with contractors.
- Support storm response and system restoration efforts when needed.
