Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Sr Engineer – Overhead AME to serve as the technical lead for transmission line asset health. You will evaluate system performance, develop maintenance plans, and coordinate projects across multiple groups to improve reliability and longevity.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a PE license with 7+ years of professional engineering experience, and may involve extended hours during storms or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer required.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of standards, codes, methods, and practices relevant to area of expertise.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Lead member of a recognized industry committee a plus; PE license or advanced degree reduces required experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform advanced engineering projects with field testing and troubleshooting.
• Develop budgets, schedules and project plans; coordinate maintenance-related work.
• Provide technical training, mentorship, and peer review as needed.
• Collaborate across departments to improve processes and support investment decisions.
• Provide engineering support during maintenance, construction, and emergent repairs.
