Job summary

University of Massachusetts Amherst seeks a Senior Assistant Director of Community College Outreach to lead transfer recruitment and advising for BHCC and MBCC, with primary offices split between these campuses. The role builds clear pathways for prospective UMass Amherst students and collaborates with campus partners to ensure seamless transfer processes.

The position requires collaboration with Enrollment Management Ops, travel to campuses, and occasional evenings/weekends during recruitment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years of experience in admissions, advising, academic programs, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility to work some evenings and weekends during recruitment travel and review seasons.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute undergraduate transfer recruitment, selection, and yield activities for BHCC and MBCC.
• Advise transfer students on degree requirements, policies, and major selections.
• Develop articulation agreements and coordinate with campuses.
• Create and analyze reports on BHCC/MBCC cohorts and transfer outcomes.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Advising, and Communications to support transfer pathways.
• Represent UMass Amherst at community college fairs and campus visits.
