Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a Senior Protector to manage and implement traffic control in outdoor work zones. You will coordinate with clients, deploy signs and devices, and supervise crew movements to keep motorists and workers safe.

Responsibilities include operating a STOP/SLOW paddle, maintaining devices per federal/state guidelines, driving a company vehicle, and mentoring teammates while adhering to safety policies. OT opportunities may arise as needed.

Qualifications

• TCT certification or 2000+ verifiable hours.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
• MS Office and CRM systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers to ensure worker safety.
• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices per guidelines.
• Maintain flapper station using STOP/SLOW signals.
• Drive company vehicle to transport equipment and team members.
• Communicate via radio with team on site.
• Follow all safety procedures and report issues to supervisor.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to Protector.
• Other duties as assigned.
