Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a Protector to join our traffic management team. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and ensure safety on job sites throughout the shift. The role requires standing or walking for long periods and working outside in all weather.

No prior experience or degree is required as training is provided. A valid driver’s license is necessary, and you may work nights, weekends, or emergency shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to stand or walk for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds and work outside in varying weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule with on‑call nights, weekends, or emergency shifts as needed.
• Must pass pre‑hire screening including a drug test (safety sensitive).

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take equipment down.
• Use stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow safety rules taught in training and stay alert around traffic.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor and keep equipment clean and safe.
• Work outdoors year‑round, with varying shift lengths.
