Job summary

AWP Safety is hiring Traffic Control Technician for roles across the country, with a focus on safety and traffic management. The Senior Protector position supports core values and ensures the safe movement of vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic in work zones.

Responsibilities include implementing plans, coordinating with customers, and maintaining equipment. The role emphasizes training, teamwork, and a commitment to safety in varied outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Traffic Control Technician (TCT) Certification or 2000+ verifiable hours required.
• High School Diploma or GED completion required.
• Prior experience in temporary traffic control services, utility or construction industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems.
• Must be able to follow safe workplace practices.
• Valid Driver’s License void of suspension or revocation.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices per guidelines and plans.
• Maintain a Flagger Station using STOP/SLOW Paddle signals.
• Drive a company vehicle to transport equipment and personnel to sites.
• Effective radio communication with team members on site.
• Follow all safety procedures and notify supervisor of issues.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to Protectors.
• Other duties as assigned.
