Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems in Corona, CA seeks a Traffic Control Supervisor II to oversee traffic control operations on state highways and other roadways, set up and remove lane closures, and redirect traffic to protect workers and the public.

The role leads Traffic Control Technicians and Flaggers, ensures safety protocols, delivers toolbox talks, trains new hires, maintains documentation, and travels to multiple job sites, including occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• 2–3 years traffic control experience (4,000+ hours).
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification required.
• Must complete ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor advanced training course.
• Proven experience setting up traffic control on state/local roadways.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
• Lead daily traffic control crews, including Traffic Control Technicians and Flaggers, with leadership and advanced knowledge.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Deliver toolbox talks and job-specific safety training to crew members.
• Mentor and train new hires in proper traffic control and safety procedures.
• Ensure all timesheets, work tickets, and job documentation are completed and submitted daily.
• Operate MOT and TMA vehicles on job sites to protect workers and work zones.
• Set up, monitor, and remove temporary construction signs, arrow boards and other devices.
• Inspect work zones for proper device placement and overall site safety.
• Perform shop duties including maintenance and repair of traffic control equipment.
• Maintain inventory of traffic control devices.
• Travel to various job sites as required, including overnight stays.
