Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Control Technician in Corona, CA. The role involves setting up and taking down lane closures on state highways, redirecting traffic for workers, and ensuring safety on job sites.

You will operate trucks, wear safety gear, and follow DOT regulations. Candidates should have 1–3 years of experience, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays and rotating on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check including motor vehicle records
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements
• Basic reading and writing ability to comply with road signs and paperwork
• Must read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented
• Willingness to travel statewide with possible overnight stays and rotating on-call schedule

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on work sites
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects and on work sites
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices
• Monitor the work zone to ensure proper placement
• Perform maintenance and repair of equipment
• Follow all safety rules and company policies
• Able to work near schools and children as required
