Job summary

Ancient Crunch Inc. in Hackettstown, NJ, is seeking a Lead Production Equipment/Tortilla Line Operator to coordinate a small team of operators and ensure safe operation, quality, and efficiency on the tortilla line.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and capable of training others. This role leads line activities, monitors equipment, maintains documentation, adheres to GMP and food safety standards, and partners with supervision to drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or food production experience required.
• Prior lead/operator experience preferred.
• Proficient English communication (reading/writing).
• Experience with industrial equipment and HMI/control systems.
• Ability to lead a small team and coordinate tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to SOPs.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to commute to Hackettstown, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of 1–4 operators on the assigned line.
• Operate and monitor production equipment via HMI and control systems.
• Evaluate product quality against specifications and standards.
• Make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, schedules, and process parameters.
• Complete and verify production and quality documentation in English.
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues.
• Lead startup, shutdown, and changeover activities.
• Train team members on procedures and safety.
• Maintain GMP, sanitation, and food safety compliance.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Collaborate with supervisors, QA, maintenance.
• Identify deviations and communicate with supervision.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with cleaning and general operational duties.
